PHOTO JAM

an online photo community to inspire and be inspired

What is Photo Jam?

Creativity is self-care. When you’re in flow, your brain shifts into hyperfocus—dopamine surges, creativity spikes, and time dissolves. Science calls it flow. We call it magic.

Photo Jam clears the noise. It’s like a free high—but instead of a hangover, you have art. And new friends.

Diversity is our superpower. Photo Jam honors the inclusion of race, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, identity, and experience.

We are committed to interacting and sharing space with respect, kindness, compassion, and mindfulness to all.

How to Jam:

  1. Download the app

  2. Create a free account

  3. Poke around the gallery and monthly theme. See what inspires you.

  4. Sign up for a single 60-minute Photo Jam over Zoom to give it a test run. Upload up to three photos you'd like to share. Phone or camera, we bet you have taken photos that really matter to you. That you love. Why not share them with nice people who want to see them? Your facilitator will select one for discussion.

  5. Join the Zoom and connect with an intimate group of kind humans like you.

  6. Now for the fun part: While your photo is on the screen, just listen as the group shares what they notice, appreciate, and connect with in your image.

  7. Then the floor is yours. Share as much or as little as you'd like. There's no pressure to speak.

No contests, no judgment, no politics.

That’s the magic.

What the Jammers have to say. ..

"The most kind and uplifting community to share your photography and get inspired by others’. Lessons you can explore at your own pace, challenges that encourage experimentation and cause you to think and create with a fresh perspective. This is the place I go when I feel stagnant. Instant inspiration. Like magic!"

—Julie M.

“Photo Jam is genius. Full stop. Not only is the program innovative and impeccably designed — you learn, you think, you marvel — but you have the  opportunity to spend time with like minded people. People who share their art and thoughtfully respond to yours. Photo Jam gave me an audience and a playground where I can grow as a photographer.”

Jammer, Gigi S.

Hope to see you at the Jam.

We know you’re gonna love it.
